Tata International Africa introduces a ground-breaking five-year warranty on its entire commercial vehicle range across the continent

Tata International Africa has launched a new 5-year warranty for its commercial vehicle range.

This includes vehicles in South Africa, and covers the company’s “Medium, Heavy, and Extra Heavy” commercial range.

“This first-of-its-kind Pan-African warranty applies to the full range of Tata trucks and buses, as well as Daewoo trucks in all 12 markets in which Tata International Africa operates,” said the company.

Len Brand, CEO of Tata International Africa, said the warranty was introduced to reinforce the company’s “commitment to enhancing the customer-ownership experience”.

“Given Africa’s harsh and varied terrains, this new warranty goes a long way towards Tata International Africa’s pursuit of offering enhanced life cycle benefits to its customers.”

The 5-year warranty is applicable to all Tata and Daewoo commercial vehicles first registered on or after 1 January 2021, and is supported across Tata International Africa’s dealership and service network.

This consists of over 450 outlets and service facilities across Africa.

Additionally, the warranty is transferable to the next owner if a vehicle is sold.

Expanding in South Africa

Brand added that Tata has also worked on expanding its footprint across the continent – especially in South Africa.

“We’ve also added new products, working with our OEM partners to ensure that we are able to provide products for specific niches.”

The company added that it has also rolled out retail financing arrangements in six markets.

“We are planning to roll this out in all 12 countries in which we operate,” said Brand.

Tata International Africa operates in South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
