Frank Tayali, the minister of transportation and logistics, has urged those in the aviation industry to work closely with the government to develop infrastructure and increase connectivity. Speaking to attendees at today’s annual conference of aviation stakeholders in Lusaka, Tayali underlined the government’s dedication to guaranteeing effectiveness, security, and safety in the aviation industry. In his speech, he emphasized the need for teamwork in developing the country’s aviation capabilities and promoting economic expansion.
Minister Tayali emphasized that the government is committed to implementing policies that will simplify aviation sector operations. Stakeholders can contribute to developing a stronger, more unified framework that facilitates the smooth flow of people and products by cooperating. Tayali emphasized the significance of creating and modernizing Zambia’s aviation infrastructure to satisfy international standards, as doing so will not only strengthen the industry but also draw in more foreign investment and tourists.
The Minister also emphasized the need for the aviation sector to adopt eco-friendly practices to mitigate environmental impact. Patrick Nkhoma, the board chair of the Zambia Civil Aviation Authority (ZCAA), also spoke during the meeting, restating the Authority’s dedication to upholding strict safety and security regulations in Zambian airspace. According to Nkhoma, the ZCAA will keep playing a crucial role in making sure that all travelers fly safely and securely. He underlined continuous efforts in the aviation industry to strengthen operating procedures and regulatory monitoring.
Nkhoma added that the ZCAA is committed to promoting creativity and implementing best practices that are in line with international aviation standards. By doing this, the Authority hopes to further the more general objectives of improving connectivity and encouraging long-term industry growth.
