Natural Selection to Launch Daily Scheduled Air Circuit Across Namibia from March 2026

Natural Selection has announced the launch of a new daily scheduled flying circuit across Namibia, set to begin on March 1, 2026, significantly improving access to its safari camps and lodges. The new circuit will connect all Natural Selection properties in the country through coordinated flight routes operated in partnership with Wilderness Air, Desert Air, and Fly Namibia.

The initiative marks a major shift from the company’s previous travel model, which relied heavily on long road transfers, private charters, and limited flight connections. With the introduction of the daily air circuit, guests can now expect reliable flight schedules, competitive seat rates, and a much simpler booking process. Flights can be booked directly with the partner airlines or seamlessly arranged through Natural Selection as part of a guest’s travel itinerary.

According to Natural Selection, the new air circuit is designed to reduce travel time between remote destinations while enhancing comfort and flexibility for guests. By aligning flight schedules and routes, the company aims to create smoother connections between camps, making multi-destination itineraries across Namibia easier and more efficient.

In addition to the scheduled circuit, Natural Selection will open new airstrips to further improve access to some of its most remote properties. One of the key developments is the Sima Airstrip, which is scheduled to open in May 2026 alongside the launch of Hoanib Elephant Camp. The new airstrip will be located approximately 20 minutes from Hoanib Elephant Camp and just over an hour’s drive from Hoanib Valley Camp, significantly reducing transfer times in the rugged northwest of the country.

Guests will also benefit from daily flights into Westies Airstrip, which provides direct access to Shipwreck Lodge along Namibia’s dramatic Skeleton Coast. From the airstrip, guests will enjoy a short 25-minute road transfer to the lodge, replacing much longer and more complex travel routes previously required.

Several other Natural Selection properties are included in the new circuit through established airstrip access. Kwessi Dunes will be served via Geluk or Keerweder Airstrip, followed by road transfers of just over 30 minutes. Hoanib Valley Camp and Hoanib Elephant Camp will be accessed via Orutjandja Airstrip and the new Sima Airstrip once operational. Etosha Mountain Lodge, Safarihoek Lodge and Safari House will all be accessed through Ongava Airstrip, with road transfers of approximately one hour and 45 minutes to the Etosha Heights entrance.

The only Natural Selection property in Namibia not yet included in the new flying circuit is Nkasa Linyanti, which is scheduled to open in May 2026. Access arrangements for this property are still being finalised and will be announced at a later stage.

Natural Selection said the new daily air circuit reflects its commitment to improving guest experiences while maintaining safe, reliable and efficient travel in remote wilderness areas. The development is expected to strengthen Namibia’s high-end tourism offering by making some of the country’s most iconic landscapes more accessible without compromising on comfort or sustainability.
