Ritz Holdings Expands into Zambia with Launch of ZBLG Transport to Boost Regional Trade

The official opening of ZBLG Transport Company in Zambia by Malawian logistics and investment behemoth Ritz Holdings Limited represents a significant turning point in its aggressive regional expansion plan. In addition to enhancing access to crucial regional trade corridors, the move expands the company’s presence in Southern Africa’s transportation and logistics industry. Zambia is a key player in intra-SADC trade, so ZBLG Transport should increase cross-border connection and offer vital assistance to Malawian and Zambian companies alike.

Innocent Nyirongo, Commercial Services Manager at Ritz Holdings, stated during the unveiling that the Zambian operation will improve regional trade flows by providing reliable logistical services, in addition to opening up new business options. In order to improve regional integration and empower local businesses on both sides of the border, he emphasized that ZBLG Transport wants to establish itself as a reliable partner in cross-border transportation.

With the founding of ZBLG Transport, Ritz Holdings now has four significant subsidiaries: Ritz Technologies, Ritz Oils and Gases, and Ritz Partners Limited. The group’s corporate concept of “Creating Tomorrow, Today,” which prioritizes innovation, regional empowerment, and strategic investment, is further supported by this expansion. From a modest agricultural endeavor to a diverse conglomerate with holdings in logistics, oil and gas, agriculture, mining, ICT, and professional services, Ritz Holdings was founded by well-known legal and commercial leader Lusungu Gondwe.

With its main office in Blantyre, Malawi, the business has established a solid reputation for professional leadership, operational competence, and its dedication to using indigenous, scalable solutions to address Africa’s development issues. Its logistics division already offers services like wet and dry cargo transportation, customs clearance, and real-time fleet tracking. These capabilities will be increased with the launch of ZBLG Transport in Zambia, which will integrate cutting-edge IoT fleet management technologies, uphold a solid safety record, and consistently deliver goods on schedule.

Beyond logistics, Ritz Holdings has established itself in various other sectors, from large-scale agricultural exports and petroleum distribution to IT modernization services. Its impressive client list includes major international and regional players such as Coca-Cola Malawi, Dangote Cement Zambia, Mota Engil, CR20, Airtel Money, and the American Embassy. This diverse portfolio demonstrates the group’s ability to operate successfully across multiple industries while maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Nyirongo highlighted that the Zambian expansion goes beyond profit-making, focusing instead on regional empowerment, job creation, and economic integration in line with SADC’s development goals. The move reflects Ritz Holdings’ vision of building a Pan-African presence capable of delivering smart, efficient, and locally adapted services across the continent.

Ritz Holdings is strengthening its position as a major player in Africa’s economic revolution and expanding its operational reach with the establishment of ZBLG Transport. The company is in a position to significantly influence the transportation and logistics scene in Southern Africa because of its forward-thinking leadership and investments in technologically advanced solutions. With its roots in Malawi and a focus on the area, Ritz Holdings is a testament to the ability of African-grown businesses to expand internationally while promoting integration, growth, and shared wealth.
